Lidija Matošević was born in Rijeka, where she finished elementary school and high school.

She graduated history and philosophy at the Philosophical Faculty in Zagreb, and theology at the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb.

She earned her Master's degree in theology at the Evangelical Faculty of Theology in Osijek and her Ph.D. at the Faculty of Theology Karls-Ruprecht of the University of Heidelberg.

She has worked at the Faculty of Theologyx Matthias Flacius Illyricus (today the University Center for Protestant Theology Matthias Flacius Illyricus) since 2003, teaching courses in systematic theology. She held courses at the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb and a number of guest lectures at the Universities of Leipzig and Heidelberg.

She received the John Templeton Award for Theological Promise in 2007 for the book Lieber katholisch als neuprotestantisch: Karl Barths Rezeption der katholischen Theologie 1921-1930. In 2017, she published the textbook Introduction to Dogmatic Theology (Uvod u dogmatiku). She is the author of multiple scientific articles in both domestic and foreign publications.

She was among the key figures in the process of integrating the Faculty of Theology Matthias Flacius Illyricus into the University of Zagreb, and one of the initiators of the Faculty's publishing activities. She is the editor in chief of the series Bibliotheca Flaciana and Folia Protestantica Croatica.

She received the Dr. Branko Lovrec Award for promoting dialogue between religion and society in 2018 from the Association for Religious Freedom in Croatia.

Ksenija Magda is the Center's resident biblical theologian, with a particular focus on the New Testament. She studied theology at the Evangelical Faculty of Theology in Osijek and the London School of Theology (Brunel University), where she earned her Ph.D. in 2008. She is the current president of the Baptist World Alliance Women's Department and an editor at the Central Eastern European Bible Commentary project. Her research interests are the global Christian Church and the contextual application of the Bible. She is a counselor and a biblical scholar at the humanitarian association "Croatian Baptist Aid" ("Ruke nade"). In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction, especially thrillers by John Grisham.

Zoran Grozdanov was born in 1977 in Rijeka. He studied theology, philosophy, and history in Rijeka, Zagreb, and Osijek, and earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the Philosophical Faculty in Zagreb in 2015. He spent the academic year 2010/2011 at the University of Tübingen, being mentored by Jürgen Moltmann. He is the author and editor of several books and articles with both domestic and foreign publishers. Along with his coeditor Nebojša Zelić, he was awarded the book of the year award by the Center for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights in Osijek for the book Faith in Dialogue: Secular and Religious in Dialogue (Vjera u dijalog: religijsko i sekularno u razgovoru). In 2019 he was a Fellow of the University of Münster. He was the initiator and coordinator of the citizen's initiative "No VAT on donated food" ("Oslobodimo doniranje hrane PDV-a"), which, in 2015, obtained a tax exemption for donated food for humanitarian associations in Croatia.
